Safety

The most important aspect of every fireworks display is safety.  At Skylighter, safety is paramount when planning, designing and executing each and every production.  Every phase of the production from concept to delivery undergoes detailed risk assessment analysis.

All Skylighter staff are trained in and operate to a documented Safety Management System.  Ongoing in-house training and professional development of all staff ensure that our core focus on safety is maintained.

Our safety focus is all encompassing and covers spectators, property and staff whilst taking into account secondary impacts such as local environmental concerns, wildlife and residents.

Project Management

From a school fete to a large outdoor public display with 100,000 people, Skylighter FireworX can look after the total Pyrotechnics project management.

We have a dedicated team that do everything in-house, from building specialised equipment to transporting and anchoring our own custom build barges.  The Skylighter team can also build an idea from inception through to completion while integrating other elements for an overall dramatic experience.

Skylighter FireworX is committed to the development and use of innovative new pyrotechnic special effects and computer firing system technology.  We constantly develop and source the latest products ensuring the delivery of unique special effects in all of our displays.

We utilise the FireOne computer controlled wireless firing system which is the number one firing system in the world.  FireOne allows our displays to be designed and choreographed to music with split second accuracy and synchronised across vast firing locations such as barges, bridges and rooftops.  Our systems also allow for audio simulcast with television, radio station and professional sound broadcast systems.

Design & Manufacture

Head product designer Max Brunner travels to China several times each year to design and oversee the manufacture, testing and creation of new, spectacular and unique special effects.

Much like any artist, Max begins the creative process with conceptual sketches.  From sketches we progress to computer modelling and detailed design.  Once the design is complete, pyro-chemists design the pyrotechnic formulas required to bring our concepts to life.

The best pyrotechnic ingredients are sourced from around the globe. Sulphur and Saltpetre are sourced from Germany to make refined black powder.  Titanium powders are sourced from Italy and the USA producing brilliant silver effects.  Sulphates and nitrates are sourced throughout Asia and Australia to ensure the brightest colours, unique effects and low smoke productions that are the trademarks of our products.

Technology

Skylighter produced the first fireworks and laser light display for the City of Brisbane’s 2009 New Year’s Eve celebration.  Since then, Skylighter has gone on to produce many more choreographed fireworks and laser light displays.  Dual computer control systems are used to ensure perfect synchronisation between the fireworks and laser light mediums.
