SeaFire 2025 lit up the Gold Coast with the kind of world-class spectacle that reminds us why we do what we do!
Fireworks are still one of the most powerful ways to bring people together. What a weekend!
A huge congratulations to Neil and Team USA for taking out this year’s top prize with a bold, emotional, and technically flawless 18-minute pyromusical that had the entire coastline buzzing. Their show hit hard in all the right ways – from precise timing to powerful soundtrack choices – and they thoroughly earned the top spot.

We also want to give a massive shoutout to Cliff and Team Belgium, whose show was pure elegance. Beautifully paced, rich in colour, and packed with clever transitions, their display was a fan favourite and a masterclass in refined pyro design.
As the home team and event hosts, we’re incredibly proud of what we pulled off this year – not just with our own showcase display, but with the scale, coordination, and delivery of the entire SeaFire 2025 competition. From the beaches of Broadbeach to the Broadwater and all the way to HOTA – Home of the Arts, we delivered a synchronised, three-site pyromusical that pushed boundaries and filled the sky with wonder.
And we didn’t do it alone. Cyclone Alfred may have brought some last-minute chaos, but our crew rose to the challenge, adapting timelines, reconfiguring sites, and staying focused under pressure to make sure the show went on – safely, professionally, and on time.

Here’s what went into making SeaFire 2025 a reality:
- 4 floating barges + 1 land-based firing site
- 3 international competition displays, including our own showcase
- Upwards of 20,000 individual effects
- 260+ hours of prep and programming
- 24 crew across land and water
- 150 FireOne modules and 12 FireOne control units for firing precision
- 2 marine support teams for barge and waterway logistics
- 3 full shipping containers of product

It was a huge operation – and we couldn’t be prouder of our team for pulling it off. From design and logistics to crew coordination, marine operations, and dealing with shifting weather systems, it was all hands on deck. And the result? One of the most ambitious and successful SeaFire events ever staged.
We’re incredibly grateful to the international teams, the City of Gold Coast, our suppliers, contractors, and the thousands of spectators who came out to support us across the weekend.
SeaFire 2025 was more than a fireworks show – it was a statement: that when the world comes to play with fire, the Gold Coast knows how to turn it into magic.

Until next time – thanks for watching us light up the sky.
